Ariege, France Day 3's Action !

8A+ geting there
Ok so on the first two days it was a bit of a wash out when we arrived we went to a road side crag. This was really dangers as there where lots of loose blocs the size of a small car about to fall. the first full day we went to a crag called Calamnes. This crag was good the weather held up and we did a small multi pitch climb which was epic as I didn’t get struck by lightning this time. We went to a amazing looking crag but when we arrived at the crag after a 30 minute walk up a steep hill. Once we arrived we got up 2 routes and then it started to rain but that’s not it - then came the hail luckily I was one of the only people prepared with Outdoor Research waterproof jacket and pants. Once the storm past we walked down the treacherous path back to the car. Yesterday we had a good day sheltered in a big cave from the rain. We started to climb some easy routs knowing the easiest was a 6C+. This was a very special route because it was like climbing on big naturel jugs like in a climbing wall. There was an 8A+ in the cave that I had a good crack on despite only getting half way on it. It was good fun and very motivating to get on a hard climb again. While at the cave Stevie Haston and his wife came along and warmed up on an 8A and then tried a 9A which was very impressive. After the cave, once the rain stopped, we headed out for a 20 minute drive to another crag where we climbed till 9:00pm this was fun as I got a lot of mileage. Overall I climbed a 6c+\7a that day which was a good laugh but also a few 6a’s . Today is another day and am super stoked.
