climbing in france

I had a great time in France, climbing. I climbed a 7a and nearly did a 7b+ but I didn’t have enough skin left on my finger tips. I got scared on a multi pitch when thunder sounded and lightning struck the skies. The accommodation was really nice, we had a massive garden and a swimming pool. And for the rainy days, that we had none of, there was a bouldering wall in an old barn. Every morning we’d get up around 8ish  have breakfast, pack our bags and go climbing. Half way through the week it started to get really hot so we started climbing later in the day, around 12 and we’d climb till about 9 pm so we would still get a full days worth of climbing. I tried an 8a but I only got to the third bolt. The bouldering spot we went to had a bear warning at the parking lot. This was very encouraging (…not). Ian and I  found this massive cave that had no bolts on it. This was so frustrating.  We were so lucky with the weather because we had blue skies nearly every day apart form the first day were there was thunder lightning and rain.
